The EC-100 five-to-four wire converter converts a motorcycle five-wire tail light circuit to a four-wire circuit to power our CRLGHT LED rack light plate.  However, it will work on any 12-volt DC, 5-wire tail light system to power LED trailer lights only (regular light bulbs pull too much power).  The small size of the EC-100 allows it to be hidden on motorcycles easily.

The VCC007-49 is a plug-n-play motorcycle trailer wiring sub-harness for Victory and Indian models.  Simply unplug your factory tail light from the factory wire harness (usually located under the seat), then plug in the VCC007-49 to the mating factory male and female connectors.  You are now ready to plug in other wiring components (VCC007-50 CAN-bus signal decoder, VCC007-52 five-to-four wire converter, or TWC003 isolator) to complete the connection between your motorcycle and trailer.

When connecting trailer lighting to a motorcycle using an isolator is required to prevent error codes at the gauges as well as damage to your factory motorcycle electronics and wiring. Also many times it is necessary to convert the motorcycles 4 or 5 wire tail light system to the opposite on the trailer being towed.

 

RIVCO designed the TWC003 combination isolator and convertor to be plug-n-play with RIVCO sub-harnesses. It features a selector button with corresponding colored LEDs to change the input and output functions.  The TWC003 has a 36” wire loom and a “5 flat” trailer plug which also mates with all “4 flat” connectors molded to the wires.

 

Installing the TWC003 is easy when you follow the included wiring diagrams and instructions. The small 3” x 1” x 1” size of the TWC003 isolator make it easy to mount in an out-of-sight location like under the seat. The TWC003 is a universal isolator; meaning it works on most motorcycles. RED LED =         Converts a 4 wire from the motorcycle to a 5 wire out to the trailer

 

GREEN LED =    Straight thru i.e. 4 wire from the motorcycle = 4 wire out to trailer or 5                                         wire from the motorcycle = 5 wire out to the trailer.

 

YELLOW LED = Converts a 5 wire from the motorcycle to a 4 wire out to trailer

NOTE : This Isolator WILL NOT work on 2018 and newer Honda Gold Wing and some other newer models with CANBUS wiring.

 

NOTE:   WILL NOT function correctly on 2014 and newer Harley Davidson’s when set on the 4 to 5 wire mode. ON these HD models you will also need  # HD007-50 4 to 5 wire decoder. On Indian Models it also requires the use of CANBUS module #VCC007-50.

When wiring your motorcycle trailer using an isolator is required to prevent damage to your factory motorcycle wiring and RIVCO trailer wiring components. RIVCO designed the Twc004 universal isolator to be plug-n-play with RIVCO sub-harnesses and converters. The Twc004 has a 36” wire loom to reach your trailer hitch tongue and trailer plug.

Some motorcycles use a five-wire wiring system for tail, brake, and turn signal lights.  In a five-wire system, the brake and turn signal lights get signal from individual power wires devoted to each function.  Some trailers us a four-wire system.  In a four-wire system the brake and turn signal lights share a single wire to power these functions.  Using the VCC007-51 five-to-four wire converter with TWC004 isolator for a safe, plug-n-play solution to the Honda trailer wiring.
